ESSROC commits to the expansion of the Nazareth YMCA and presents first $20,000 check to the Board
Nazareth, PA - In an informal ceremony warmed up by the presence of several cheering children and appropriately on time just before the Christmas holidays, last December ESSROC's Nazareth Plant Manager Dan Wren and Administrative Manager Cindy Fairbanks presented a $20,000 check to Executive Director Frank Frey and other board members. The donation represents the first of five yearly installments totaling $100,000 committed by ESSROC to the new Nazareth YMCA expansion project, involving construction of a new wing and improvements to the parking area.
With a membership equivalent to about half the size of the town's population, the Nazareth YMCA has been rooted in the community for over 89 years, offering a wide variety of programs and activities ranging from sports to education. The Nazareth YMCA offers many educational programs as well as leisure and sport activities. Several ESSROC employees, including staff from the Bath headquarters, are active members of the "Y". ESSROC has a proud history of supporting the Nazareth YMCA throughout many years.
