Axim Starts Co-op Program with Students from Mt. Union College

MIDDLEBRANCH, OH -- The Middlebranch area is home to ESSROC's AXIM division which makes chemical admixtures that adapt the properties of cement and concrete for stronger, more efficient construction. This world leader in cement chemistry will soon be creating the next generation of world leaders in this unique technology when it teams with nearby Mt. Union College in a cooperative education program for students majoring in geology and chemistry.

"Students will get field experience in our labs," explained Terry Lepola, AXIM Accounting Manager. "They will learn cement chemistry from the basics on up to the 22 elements which make up cement and the role that our additives play in the expanding field of cement admixtures." The program starts in March, 2004.
