ESSROC Stays Close to the Heart of This Indiana Community

SPEED, IN -- When it comes to community caring, ESSROC is right in the middle of things here in Speed, Indiana. "Our plant is in the heart of town. We're the major employer in this community. It's only natural that we help out whenever we have a chance to," says Steve Miller, Administrative Manager and one of the local team leaders of more than 200 ESSROC employees. "Yes, we work here but we also raise our families here. We want our home community to be the best it can be."

A recent example of this ESSROC attitude helped power the success of the annual Art In Speed Park festival. The community event showcased the work of artists from throughout the Clark County area and featured numerous family-friendly attractions. ESSROC was a primary sponsor of the event. And fittingly so. The 10-plus acre park surrounds the ESSROC Plant and is owned and maintained by the company for the benefit of its Speed community.
