Masonry cement is a combination of portland cement and other finely-ground materials. When mixed with sand and water, it forms "mortar", the primary binding agent used by masons in brick, block and other masonry construction. Masonry cements are classified by ASTM into 3 Types, each designated by letters N, S or M indicating the strength properties of that Type. ESSROC manufactures many of the best-known brands in the construction industry.
