Quality Control Chemist Training Program
Essroc Cement Corp. is the North American Division of Italcementi, one of the largest cement manufacturers and distributors in the world. Italcementi has operations in Europe, Asia, North Africa and North America. Essroc operates facilities in United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico; and as one of the largest divisions, contributes revenue in excess of $600 (US) million to the Italcementi Group.
Essroc, based in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, is comprised of nine cement production plants, two grinding facilities, and fifteen distribution terminals. Cement operations are located in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Maryland, West Virginia, Puerto Rico and Ontario. Additionally, Essroc has a chemical concrete admixture division called AXIM.
Essroc is looking for pending or recent chemistry graduates to participate in our Quality Control Chemist training program. The twelve month program will cover cement manufacturing processes, with an emphasis on quality control. You will be located at one of our cement plants, and under the guidance of a senior Quality Control Manager, participate on projects and quality issues at the base location, as well as other facilities.
The work you will perform is technically challenging, and will involve projects on raw material or fuel affects, operational impacts, sampling, analysis, and quality control. There will also be involvement with technical services, troubleshooting and problem solving on cement applications. Quality Control is a critical function and directly affects our company reputation and results. Some examples of the types of projects and activities include:

To qualify for this opportunity, you will need to possess a degree in Chemistry, with a good academic achievement (GPA of 2.7/4.0 or better). Candidates must be willing to relocate and travel.
