Essexville Plant has received the 2005 Quintin E.Cramer Citizen of the Year Award from the City of Essexville |
 |
Essroc's Essexville Plant has received the 2005 Quintin E.Cramer Citizen of the Year Award from the City of Essexville. This is a yearly award, usually given to an individual citizen, to recognize good citizenship and participation in the community and to improve the quality of life for all of the residents of Essexville. This is the first time it has ever been issued to a corporation. The award consists of a framed plaque for the plant, and the addition of Essroc's name to the master award which is displayed at City Hall.
The award was presented to Essexville plant manager David Williamson at the City Council meeting on December 13th by Mayor Thomas Rehmus and the members of the Council. An official proclamation was read into the meeting record and the Mayor and several of the councilmen gave short statements in support. City Manager Dale Majerczyk also read a statement in which he said that he had seen continuous improvement in the plant in his ten years in Essexville and that he was very appreciative of the support and help the city had received from all of the plant managers who have been at the plant during his tenure. It is a good recognition for Essroc's efforts to be a good corporate citizen, reduce fugitive dust and noise emissions and participate in the community in a positive way. |
